Back in 2004, Al Perez and his team started working on the detailed architecture of the .NET application. A key item on their list was selecting the .NET reporting technology to use in their system. They evaluated a number of alternatives and finally shortlisted this other reporting tool and GrapeCity's ActiveReports for a comparative evaluation.
Al describes what happened next. He says, "The product we evaluated ActiveReports against was this other reporting tool. The other reporting tool blew our software installation up from 8 MB at the time to a big number! There was no comparison between this other reporting tool and ActiveReports and we sure are glad we made the right choice in selecting ActiveReports."
